He was using my pair of Nikon action binoculars, which were a bit heavy for him, and I had left my compact pair at home.

But this got me thinking about getting him his own pair. So I had a look around on the net and found this article;
http://ezinearticles.com/?Why-buy-Nikon-Compact-Binoculars&id=1003845
It was a great little review of compact binoculars, and also had a link to a site with an excellent deal on Nikon's 8-24x25 EagleView Zoom - Team RealTree Camo.

I have yet to buy him a pair but will be doing it pretty soon.
Got to keep the love for the outdoors alivein the new generation.

Nikon Binoculars

I have been an avid bird-watcher for almost 20 years and was reluctantly pushed into starting this blog by my grandson who has just started joining me on some of my excursions.

I don't know much about this stuff so please forgive me if it's not up to par.

I thought I would start by talking about my new pair of binoculars. My wife bought me a apir of Nikon eagleview binoculares for my 55th birthday, and they are the best pair that I have ever used.
They can zoom from 8x to 24x, and are relatively lightweight. I've got to say that at the 24x zoom the image gets a little shaky but that's probably mainly due to my old hands and not the binoculars.

I found a great review of the Nikon EagleView - You should really check it out, it's even got a video review.

Anyway this is far and away the best pair of binoculars I have ever used for birdwatching, now it may not be applicable to all people and all uses.

But I do highly reccomend it.

Well that will do for now, I might try to figure out how to upload photos soon.

Cheers

Oh by the way I'm having a play around with squidoo too, so check out my Nikon Binocular lens.
